Jake Strawn Web Application Architect, Drupal advocate, jQuery interface specialist. Jake has been in the web development industry for the past 10+ years, and began his career in the dialup ISP industry. After years of studying PHP/MySQL systems, coding sites by hand from the ground up with minimal code reuse, Jake began to use CMS systems such as Mambo (now Joomla), later evolving to Wordpress, and finally, the CMS powerhouse, Drupal. So for the last several years, Jake has spent time focusing on design principals, User Interface (UI) design, and color theory to further enhance the front-end development&design process of his own projects. Using a system like Drupal has allowed Jake to evolve his skills into a well rounded set of tools for any web development project. Jake was recently contracted by Apress to author a title on jQuery, and later declined due to time restraints, and will instead be a technical reviewer for the current jQuery title they have in progress. Jake has a never ending love of absorbing new technologies and knowledge to make current and future projects easier to complete, and is quickly becoming a huge fan of social networking & media.
